lavi nwa enpòtan

I agree, actions speak louder than words. But in our society any change has to be initiated and have its origins in a spontaneous unorganized popular reaction. The reason I say unorganized is that if it attempts to organize it will either be politicized(co-opted) by the establishment or it will be designated as a threat to national security because it is a conspiracy; a threat to major financial investments or profits. Recently there was a call for a retail 'blackout'. I'm sure that it had some effect based on how often I saw it mentioned and social media, and a few retailers actually reported a boost in sales on that day.
Even though the Montgomery Bus Boycott is credited with starting the civil rights movement, it brought the Montgomery transit system to its knees.
"Montgomery City Lines lost between 30,000 and 40,000 bus fares each day during the boycott. The bus company that operated the city busing had suffered financially from the seven month long boycott and the city became desperate to end the boycott."
